Social Development News (SDN) is an independent online news platform focussed on socio-economic development issues and initiatives in Nigeria and across the globe.

Powered by INNATE COMMUNICATIONS Lagos-Nigeria, Social Development News is focused on news, features and special reports about putting people at the centre of development, and facilitating the inter-connections for desired development aspirations.

The focus of the reportage of SDN is on issues that advances commitments of duty bearers and respective service delivery agencies in the development processes to benefit people. SDN also aims at projecting the interface between institutions and development stakeholders in recognition of the fact that people, and the way they interact in groups and society, and the norms that facilitates such interaction, is an essential part of the development processes.

Our reportage  centres on initiatives that aims to facilitate the development of inter-connections between people, groups, organizations, communities and/or institutions for desired socio-economic, political and/or human-rights based development aspirations.

FUNMI FALOBI; Editor/Lead contributor of Social Development News (SDN), is a Development Journalist, PR professional cum journalism lecturer.

With journalism experience spanning ten years covering features, writing news stories and investigative reporting on social development issues, her journalistic inkling is tilted towards using her journalistic skills to impact society to promote socio-economic development and fostering development initiatives.

 Beyond journalism, FUNMI FALOBI is also passionate about economic empowerment, especially for women and youth; promoting such related socio-economic development issues as Coordinator of  ‘The Development Dialogue’ Platform and facilitator of round-table sessions with youths and students on career development initiative under the platform of Innate Communications, Lagos.

‘SANMI FALOBI; Contributor/Associate Editor, SDN Online is an NGO programmes implementation specialist, Freelance Journalist, Social Development Advocate and Media Communications cum writing/publishing Consultant.

He is a Programme Manager with the International Press Centre (IPC), Lagos-Nigeria, undertaking diverse NGO project implementation activities on cross cutting issues of media and social development initiatives bordering on democratic governance, accountability and transparency governance and related development issues of community development, women, youths and and People Living with Disabilities (PWDs).

He is also the Managing Editor/CEO of SUCCESSTACT ventures, publishers of SUCCESSTACT Magazine (Formerly SUCCESS NOTIONS- ISSN: 2384-6069), including undertaking activities which straddles individual and organizational development initiatives, Media Communications, Publishing, Events Management and Enterprise Management/Consultancy.
